PANEL UPGRADES
ZINSCO AND ZINSCO SYLVANIA MANUFACTURER ARE NO LONGER IN BUSINESS.
The overall design of the panel includes aluminum bus bars, which are subject to corrosion and overheating as energy demands increase.
Once a breaker becomes taxed, subsequently melting to the bus bar, there is an inability of the breaker to adequately trip, and power
continues to surge into the panel and associated downline circuits.
At this point, the panel is not able to be shut off manually and power is continuing to be supplied to the panel until the service can be terminated or wires melted.
LED LIGHTING UPGRADES
LED lighting has been leading the industry in terms of energy efficiency as well as light output. You can get brighter light for less cost.
Old incandescent lights are known to use more energy and produce more heat which causes more energy usage when one has to use cooling methods to reach there comfortability level.
Fluorescent lighting is outdated, contains toxic materials, high failure rate, and also is omnidirectional. This means when the bulb is lit, it scatters light in every direction. This is inefficient because only about 60-70% of the light given off is being used and the rest is wasted.

KNOB AND TUBE REPLACEMENT
Knob and tube was used between the 1880’s and the 1940’s. It is considered obsolete and can be a safety hazard.
The insulation that now envelopes the wiring is a fire hazard.
The wiring tends to stretch and sag over time.
There is NO grounding conductor. Grounding conductors reduce the chance of electrical fire and damage to sensitive equipment.
With NO grounding conductor, this wiring cannot service any three-pronged appliances.
